Abstract

In this talk I will introduce a type of delay differential equation on the circle, which I call delayed non-homogeneous oscillators. These oscillators can have surprisingly complicated behavior and, to my knowledge, not much is known about them. In the second half of the talk I will give bounds on the frequencies of these oscillators. It turns out that this question is related to linear optimization and optimal transport problems.
