Abstract

In this talk, we introduce topological approaches for stability problems of traveling wave solutions that appear in reaction-diffusion systems. One of the methods to show the stability of traveling waves is to examine the spectrum of linearized operators. Most topological methods consist of extracting the topological properties of the vector bundle defined by the spectral problem of linearized operators. I will present an overview of my results on these studies, several important classical results, and recent research trends.
