The Ricci flow is a parabolic partial differential equation of the metric tensor defined on a given Riemannian manifold. It is presumed that the flow can deform the manifold into a better look. I will show you some facts, ideas, and history of the Ricci flow and the geometric analysis in this informal, narrative talk.
