NCTS Winter Course on Flowering Biology

10:00 - 17:30
Lecture Room B, 4th Floor, The 3rd General Building, NTHU

Speaker:
Yu-Yun Chen (Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies, National Dong Hwa University)

Organizers:
Je-Chiang Tsai (National Tsing Hua University)
Feng-Bin Wang (Chang Gung University)

一、 課程背景與目的:
Flowering is the first step of plant reproduction. Several climatic factors could influence expression of flower genes thus control this important phehophase. Several models were proposed to explain the relationship between climatic fluctuation and flowering. This course will focus a comprehensive model published recently and uses 14-years of flower records to demonstrate parameter estimation. Discussion will focus on approaches of estimation and meaning of parameters.

二、 課程之大綱:
1. Background : biology and conceptual model for flowering
2. Parameter estimation: its application and implications

三、 課程詳細時間:
Jan. 11 (Fri.)
10:00-12:00
