The Kernel of an Eisenstein Prime on Modular Jacobian Varieties

Abstract
In this talk, we will discuss the dimension of the kernel of an Eisenstein prime for composite
level. We will also study its structure as a Galois module. This work generalizes the results of
Mazur, Ribet and the speaker.
